Deer-like and yak-like animals with an Eternal
There is a variety of creatures in Everwild, including birds, mammals, insects, and others. All the varied creatures have different purposes in the world the Eternals can make use of. Certain creatures have interactions with each other.[1]
The following is a list of creatures seen in the two trailers; official names of these creatures are not yet known.
- A bat-winged bird with a crow-like beak and a tail consisting of three long plumes. Dubbed 'Crowbat' by the community.
- According to the developers, the bat creature relies on Eternals to get help in its hunting while it helps them learn more about the world and objects in it, showing symbiotic relationships being possible between the people and creatures in the game.[2]
- Beetles or rodents seen swarming around a tree that two Eternals are protecting.
- Boar-like animals. Dubbed 'Beaver Boar' by the community.
- Deer-like animals with fungi-covered antlers that can be furled and unfurled. Dubbed 'Bloom Deer' by the community, with a 'Blossom' being its young.
- The deer creature being nicknamed on Reddit as "Bloom Deer" acknowledged by the developers, plays a central role in both the trailers.[2]
- Fish seen swimming in a pond. Dubbed 'Plum Gliders' by the community.
- A puma-like creature in a cave. Dubbed 'Spooma' by the community.
- Ghost-like creatures outside the puma's cave. Dubbed 'Soulshrooms' by the community.
- A butterfly-like insect with a long slender tail, the end of which glows brightly. Dubbed 'Lumwings' by the community.
- The creature is "glowbug-like" and helps to discover things at night.[2]
- An iguana-like creature seen briefly near the Eternals' campfire. Dubbed 'Glowguana' by the community.
- A large salamander-like amphibian that releases a large number of young from its mouth. Dubbed 'Fatamander' by the community.
- The creature represents species that have other living things in their bodies, implying that they are living there or being looked after like marsupials.[2] The exact reason in this creature's case remains a mystery to be explored later.
- Large white birds with black markings. Dubbed 'Pointy Flapflaps' by the community.
- Small mammals that hop and glide across a field of flowers. Dubbed 'Hoppy-Gliders' by the community.
- A large wooly mammoth-like mammal with a walrus-like face and a thick prehensile tail. Dubbed 'Woolrus' by the community.
- The creature is based on the elephant, which takes down trees with its tail, much akin to elephants doing the same with their trunks.[2]
- A yak-like animal with yellow rabbit-like ears. Dubbed 'Bunnyak' by the community.
- A mystical spider-like being that appears in the sky, outlined in blue light. Dubbed 'Skyder' by the community.
- Glowing wisp-like creatures near to ritual site. Dubbed 'Everwisps' by the community.
- A mystical deer-like being, outlined in yellow light.
